the Flagship Hat

The Monterey

The Monterey was born out of a trip I probably could not afford, but could not afford not to take.

In the summer of 2024, a good friend invited me to Monterey, and I said yes before my brain could talk me out of it. We rode bikes down 17 Mile Drive, breathed in the Pacific, and played Spyglass. And then it happened. You take that hard left off the first fairway at Spyglass and the world shifts. The golf does not feel built. It feels revealed. Like it was always there, just waiting to be found.

That idea is stitched into this hat. The word GOLF, filled with golf holes inside the letters, is a nod to the way the game lives on the land in Monterey. Laid gently on top of it, never forced.

The name carries another quiet thread too. The first hat of this style I ever sold was in the parking lot of Tobacco Road, a course shaped by Mike Strantz’s imagination. Years earlier, Strantz worked on the Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course renovation, one of his final contributions to the game. Oddly enough, my first ever high school golf match in seventh grade ended with a chip in on number ten at Caledonia. Mike’s first design and my first match, a moment that would go on to incubate the passion I have for golf today. It is hard not to be romantic about golf.

This hat is not about chasing perfection. It is about the moments that stay with you long after the round is over. The feeling that you were lucky enough to be there at all.

The Carolina

The Carolina is an ode to the place that made golf possible for me.

I moved from New Jersey to South Carolina when I was ten years old, and the game opened up in a way I had never seen before. Golf in South Carolina was not just about private clubs or expensive lessons. There were programs in place that let kids play. Juniors play free. A deeply developed junior golf association. High school golf teams you could try out for as early as seventh grade. A longer season. More affordable tee times. More chances to be on the course.

I grew up playing in the South Carolina Junior Golf Association and throughout the CGA. That access mattered. My parents did not have endless resources to pour into golf, but South Carolina gave me something just as valuable. Opportunity. It gave me reps. It gave me competition. It gave me time. That is where I learned how to play, how to compete, and how to carry myself in the game. It is where I spent the majority of my life in golf.

This hat pulls from that foundation. White cotton with Carolina blue, navy, and light blue. Simple and familiar, like the courses and summers that shaped me. The Feel Golf patch is a nod to the places that quietly invest in juniors and change lives without asking for much in return.

The Carolina is about access. About opportunity. About what can happen when the game is made available to the people who want it most.

Tobacco's Winding Road

Tobacco Road isn’t a golf course you politely nod at it’s one you feel. It’s rough around the edges in the best possible way, unapologetic, loud in its own quiet Carolina drawl.

the Origin

Feel Golf is not a project. It's a return.

Feel Golf began with a quiet realization. At 29, somewhere between life speeding up and parents growing older, golf returned as something more than a pastime. It became a place to reconnect with the version of myself that still dreams. A place where time slows and life opens.

This brand was born the moment I understood that competition, expression, and self discovery could live together on the same fairway.
